Our team

The board of the Dominican Republic Children’s Aid Foundation consists of 4 enthusiastic and committed volunteers. By using each person’s unique qualities we are not easily caught. We are committed to raise as much money as possible to achieve our goal (every child to school). The board deals with fundraising, education, sponsor administration, contacts with the Dominican Republic, communication with sponsors and donors and social media. Because we have seen the situation in the Dominican Republic with our own eyes, we know what we are talking about and what we are doing it for.

The Supervisory Board consists of 3 members. The main tasks of the RvT are: advising the board, supervising, reviewing board decisions, approving budget, annual report and financial statements and appointing the auditor. The members of the RvT operate independently of the board and have no executive duties. They receive no remuneration.

Both in the Netherlands and in the Dominican Republic we have an employee, who perform a number of tasks for us. These are mainly the daily contacts with the projects and the children in the Dominican Republic and the contacts with the sponsors in the Netherlands.
