| From the Board We regularly visit the schools in the Dominican Republic. It is important to see with our own eyes how the projects run, how the money is spent and to speak with our people on the spot. During a trip, we identify bottlenecks and discover new opportunities. Unfortunately, a visit to the Dominican Republic by Corona was not possible for the past two years. We are very excited to go to the Dominican Republic in early 2023 to see how the projects are doing. Want to catch the highlights of the trip? Initially our intention was to purchase a good second-hand bus. We have now decided to buy a new bus, as this will give more guarantee that the bus will last longer. We are almost there, we are hopeful to collect all the necessary funds this year. Meanwhile, Wilde Ganzen has agreed to support this project, which of course we are very happy with. Thank you to all the generous donors! Board members wanted for our foundation Due to the departure of one of our board members we are looking for 1-2 new board members. As a new board member you will join a committed and diverse team of volunteers who know their way around. Important tasks of the board include recruiting new sponsors and donors, maintaining contact with our sister organization in the Dominican Republic, communicating via social media with existing sponsors and donors, providing information about our foundation and keeping an efficient (financial) administration. The board tasks are mutually divided and we meet 10 times a year. The meetings are alternately online or at the home of one of the board members.
